More often than not, glass cabinets are installed in your classroom or workplace to show off awards, work and other objects that visitors may find interesting. To ensure that these items are displayed in the most attractive way possible, you need to keep your cabinets clean and the glass sparkling. But what is the best cleaning method to achieve this?
Step 1: If there is anything in the cabinet, remove it and place it aside. If the shelves can be slid out, make sure that you lay them side by side on an old towel that you have laid out on the floor.
Step 2: Using a damp cloth, give the inside and outside of the glass cabinet a good wipe down. Make sure that you get right into the corners and along the sides of the glass, and give the shelves a good wipe down, too.
Step 3: Give the inside of the cabinet a good spray with a glass cleaner, then wipe down with a lint-free or microfiber cloth. Then, give the outside a spray wit the cleaner and wipe away. Repeat if you notice streaks.
Step 4: Holding one of the shelves at one end, give both sides a good spray with the glass cleaner and quickly wipe down with the cloth. When dry, place the shelves back into place.
As you can see, keeping your glass cabinet clean and sparkling new is actually quite an easy task. If you have installed the cabinet in a classroom, you could even get your students to clean it for you as a part of their weekly tidy up, it’s just that easy! And remember, if you notice any streaks or missed marks, make sure that you re-do the entire panel.
